Newcastle v Burnley, Betting Preview & Prediction

NEWCASTLE UNITED v BURNLEY – Click here to bet

Newcastle opened their campaign with a 2-0 away win at West Ham, but subsequent to that they lost at home to Brighton and drawn away at Tottenham.  They face a Burnley side that has lost both of their opening matches 4-2 away at Leicester and 1-0 at home to Southampton.

Looking at the head-to-head stats between these sides, goals tend to be hard to come and 5 of the last 6 games in the English Premier League have had under 2.5 goals in them.

Newcastle United 15/10

Draw 43/20

Burnley 21/10

Suggested Bet:  Newcastle win at 15/10

I considered backing under 2.5 goals based on their head-to-head stats, but that was fairly short at 11/20 and the bet I prefer here is Newcastle to beat a Burnley side that looks in for a long hard season.

Man City v Leicester, Betting Preview & Prediction

Manchester City have only played 1 game so far beating Wolves 3-1 away last weekend.  They now face Leicester who sit top of the table after a 4-2 home win over Burnley and a 3-0 away win over West Brom.

City did the double over Leicester last season winning 1-0 on the road and beating them 3-1 at home.

Manchester City 3/10

Draw 5/1

Leicester 8/1

Suggested Bet:  Anytime Goal Scorer, Jamie Vardy at 41/20

City have rightly been priced as favourites here, but they are too short for my money and Leicester have shown enough to suggest they can get on the score sheet and if they do my money would be firmly on Vardy.

Crystal Palace v Everton, Betting Preview & Prediction

CRYSTAL PALACE v EVERTON – Click here to bet

Palace are riding high sitting 5th on the table after two matches, both of which were victories away to Manchester United last week and at home to Southampton.  They face an Everton side who also got off to a flying start and currently sit 2nd on the table having beaten West Brom 5-2 at home last week and Tottenham 1-0 on the road in their opening match.

This fixture finished goalless last season and Everton won 3-1 at home.

Crystal Palace 27/10

Draw 47/20

Everton 11/10

Suggested Bet:  The draw at 47/20

Both sides are playing good football and the draw would have arrived in the last 3 home matches Palace have played against Everton.

Brighton v Man United, Betting Preview & Prediction

Brighton got their first points of the season with a 3-0 away win over Newcastle last week and that came on the back of a 3-1 home defeat to Chelsea.  They currently sit 8th on the table 7 positions ahead of Manchester United who have only played 1 game, but that was a very disappointing 3-1 home loss to Crystal Palace last week.  To give you an indication of how big an upset it was, Palace were available at 8/1 before the match.

Mnchester United did the double against Brighton last season winning this fixture 3-0 and beating them 3-1 at home.

Brighton 73/20

Draw 11/4

Manchester United 8/10

Suggested Bet:  Handicap, Brighton (+1) at 1/1

Brighton will be carrying plenty of confidence into this fixture after their win against Newcastle and United looked very vulnerable last week and Brighton will fancy their chances here.

Chelsea v Liverpool, Betting Preview & Prediction

CHELSEA v LIVERPOOL – Click here to bet

Both sides got off to winning starts with Chelsea beating Brighton 3-1 away and Liverpool pushed harder than expected to beat Leeds 4-3 at home.

The last time these sides met, Liverpool beat Chelsea 5-3 at home and they also beat Chelsea on the road 2-1 last season.

Chelsea 22/10

Draw 28/10

Liverpool 23/20

Suggested Bet:  Chelsea win at 22/10

I have earmarked Chelsea for a strong season and I felt theirs was the more impressive performance of the opening week and they can lay down a marker with a victory here.
