SHEFFIELD UNITED v WOLVES – Click here to bet

Sheffield United finished 9th last season, but they faded quite badly towards the end losing their last 3 matches in succession.

Wolves finished their season with a loss, but came in, in 7th spot, 2 ahead of Sheffield United with 2 wins, 2 losses and a draw in their last 5 games.

Sheffield United won this fixture 1-0 last season and the other game was drawn 1-1 at Wolves.

Sheffield United 49/20

Draw 2/1

Wolves 14/10

Suggested Bet:  The draw at 2/1

I was going to look at an under 2.5 goal play here as both teams were struggling to find the net last season, but the bookies are on to this and it is priced to 9/20.  Given though a low scoring game is expected the draw looks a decent play at 2/1.

There is just the one English Premier League match taking place on Saturday and it features relegated Norwich up against Burnley. We take a look at the game and suggest a bet.

Norwich have lost 8 matches in a row and they are bottom of the table and guaranteed to come last.  They put in one of their best performances in some time when they lost 1-0 at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea last time out, but they now have only scored 1 goal in their last 8 matches.

Their last home game was a 4-0 hammering by West Ham and they haven’t found the back of the net in their last 4 home games and have only won 4 times in 18 attempts at home this season.  Norwich home games average 3 goals each with 11 of the 18 matches delivering for over 2.5 goal backers.  Norwich themselves though are being outscored at almost 2 goals to 1 at home.

Burnley sit 10th on the table and after returning from the break and getting hammered 5-0 by Manchester City away they have had 3 wins and 3 draws including an injury time equaliser to draw 1-1 at home with Wolves last time out.  Their last 6 matches have all had 2 goals or less in them and they have a decent record on the road winning 6, drawing 5 and losing 7 of their 18 matches.  Burnley away games average 2.4 goals each with a 50% strike rate for both overs and under 2.5 goal backers, but the last 3 Burnley home games, as mentioned above, have all gone the way of unders backers.

Burnley beat Norwich 2-0 at home earlier this season and the sides also met in the FA Cup where Norwich beat Burnley 2-1 on the road.

Norwich 47/20

Draw 47/20

Burnley 5/4

Suggested Bet:  Burnley win at 5/4

I took a long look at the goals market and under 2.5 goals, 7/10 certainly looks a big runner here with Norwich so ineffective in front of goal and Burnley playing quite a conservative game at the moment.  In the end I think Burnley are playing well enough to take 3 points off a demoralised Norwich side.
