Everton v Chelsea, Betting Preview & Prediction

EVERTON v CHELSEA – Click here to bet

It will be a cracking match to end our Saturday action with Everton 9th on the table, but in poor form having only taken 4 points from the last 15 they have played for.  Chelsea have no such worries and they have taken 13 of the last 15 they have competed for.

Everton have hit a poor run of form at home losing 2 and drawing 1 of their last 3 and their last home game was a 1-0 defeat to Leeds.

Chelsea are undefeated on the road with 3 wins and 2 draws in 5 matches.  Their last away game was a comfortable 2-0 win over Newcastle.

Everton 16/5

Draw 61/20

Chelsea 8/10

Suggested Bet:  Chelsea win at 8/10

I really like the way Chelsea are playing at the moment and Everton look to be struggling.

Leeds v West Ham, Betting Preview & Prediction

Leeds are 14th on the log and are coming off a 3-1 away defeat at Chelsea prior to that they had beaten Everton 1-0 on the road and their last home game was a goalless draw against Arsenal.  They have played 5 home games this season, winning 1, drawing 2 and losing 2 and Leeds home games have averaged 3 goals each with 2 of the 5 games delivering for over 2.5 goal backers.

West Ham are 8th on the log and have 3 victories and 2 defeats in their last 5 starts.  Last time out they led early, but lost 3-1 at home to Manchester United and their last away game was a 1-0 win over Sheffield United.  They have played 5 games on the road this season winning 2, losing 2 and drawing 1 and West Ham away matches have averaged 3.2 goals each with only 1 of the matches failing to deliver for over 2.5 goal backers.

There is no recent head-to-head form between Leeds and West Ham to speak of.

Leeds 12/10

Draw 27/10

West Ham 21/10

Suggested Bet:  The draw at 27/10

This looks like being a tight encounter, but I can certainly see goals coming at both ends.  For interest both teams to score is priced at 5/10 and over 2.5 goals at 11/20, just a bit short for my pocket.  If I were to bet on a correct score here I like 2-2 at 39/4 and if you are looking for a larger price Patrick Bamford should give you a run for your money in the First Goal Scorer Market currently priced as a 9/2 favorite.

Tottenham v Man City, Betting Preview & Prediction

Tottenham are 2nd on the table with just 1 defeat in their opening 8 matches.  They have strung together a run of 3 successive victories beating West Brom 1-0 on the road last time out and their last home game was a 2-1 win over Brighton.

Manchester City have played 7 games and they sit 10th on the table and undefeated in their last 5 starts.  Last time out they drew 1-1 at home with Liverpool, the 5th successive Manchester City match which would have seen under 2.5 goal backers collect.

Tottenham won this fixture 2-0 last season.

Tottenham 63/20

Draw 59/20

Manchester City 17/20

Suggested Bet:  Handicap, Tottenham (+1) at 19/20

For this bet to pay out we need Tottenham to either win the match or draw and I think there is a strong chance of that given Manchester City’s form this season.  They are not scoring nearly as prolifically as they have done in the past and they face a Tottenham side that is flying high.

Brighton v Chelsea, Betting Preview & Prediction

BRIGHTON v CHELSEA – Click here to bet

Brighton finished 15th on the log and ended their season with a victory, their only win in their last 5 matches.  They now face a Chelsea side that finished 4th on the table with 3 wins and 2 losses in their last 5 games.

These sides met in a friendly at the end of August and the game finished 1-1, the same score when this fixture finished last season.

Brighton 17/4

Draw 63/20

Chelsea 13/20

Suggested Bet:  Handicap, Brighton (+1), the draw at 11/4

For this bet to land I need Chelsea to win by exactly 1 goal and the reason I am playing it is I believe we will get a tight match as we had the last time these sides met in Brighton.  Overall though I think this is a stronger Chelsea squad this year and that they will get their campaign going with 3 points.

Sheffield United v Wolves, Betting Preview & Prediction

SHEFFIELD UNITED v WOLVES – Click here to bet

Sheffield United finished 9th last season, but they faded quite badly towards the end losing their last 3 matches in succession.

Wolves finished their season with a loss, but came in, in 7th spot, 2 ahead of Sheffield United with 2 wins, 2 losses and a draw in their last 5 games.

Sheffield United won this fixture 1-0 last season and the other game was drawn 1-1 at Wolves.

Sheffield United 49/20

Draw 2/1

Wolves 14/10

Suggested Bet:  The draw at 2/1

I was going to look at an under 2.5 goal play here as both teams were struggling to find the net last season, but the bookies are on to this and it is priced to 9/20.  Given though a low scoring game is expected the draw looks a decent play at 2/1.
