Palace have been on a woeful run and have lost their last 5 matches in a row including home games against Burnley and Chelsea.  Last time out they went down 2-0 away to Aston Villa.

Manchester United were absolutely flying and they won 4 matches in succession before a disappointing 2-2 home draw to Southampton on Monday night.  They sit 5th on the table and are still very much in the race for that Top 4 finish.

Palace beat United 2-1 at Old Trafford earlier in the season and last season Manchester United won this fixture 3-1 and they have beaten Crystal Palace 3 times in a row away from home.

Crystal Palace 9/1

Draw 17/4

Manchester United 7/20

Suggested Bet:  Handicap, Manchester United (-1) at 19/20

United would have been disappointed to draw to Southampton, but Southampton did have an excellent away record and I wouldn’t read too much into that one. Prior to that draw United were in cracking form and I think they can continue against a Crystal Palace side who seems to have virtually packed up for the season.

Manchester United are currently in superb form and have won 4 matches in succession, scoring 14 goals and conceding just 2.  They are coming off a 3-0 away win over Aston Villa and their last 2 home games have been 3 goal victories over Bournemouth and Sheffield United.

United have only been beaten twice at home this season in 17 starts.  Manchester United’s home games have averaged 3 goals each and 10 of the 17 matches have delivered for over 2.5 goal backers.

Southampton are 12th on the table and in pretty good form themselves having taken 7 points from the last 9 they have played for.  They are coming off a 1-1 away draw at Everton and previously beat Manchester City 1-0 at home and Watford 3-1 on the road.

Southampton have one of the best away records in the EPL winning 8 of their 17 matches and losing just 6.  Southampton away games have been fairly high scoring, averaging 2.9 goals each with 11 of the 17 matches reaching 3 goals or more.

These sides met earlier in the season with Southampton and Manchester United playing to a 1-1 draw back in August 2019.  Last season United won this fixture 3-2.

Manchester United 7/20

Draw 9/2

Southampton 33/4

Suggested Bet:  Both teams to score, YES, at 9/10

Manchester United should win this and they are deservedly short priced favourites and I was tempted to back them on the (-1) Handicap at 17/20.  The bet I prefer though is both sides to find the back of the net at 9/10.  United have been scoring for fun, but Southampton have scored in their last 4 home matches and as Bournemouth showed when they got 2 at Old Trafford if Manchester United go well clear they may well step off the gas.

There are plenty of other markets including Correct Score and if I had to pick a correct score I would go Manchester United 3-1 which is priced at 25/2.  You can also bet on who will be the first Goal Scorer, Martial is the 17/4 favourite and he is 23/20 to score at any time during the match.

LIVERPOOL v BURNLEY – Click Here to bet

Champions, Liverpool bounced back from that away defeat to Manchester City with a scrappy 2-0 home win against Villa and then a 3-1 win at Brighton.  They face a Burnley side that has dropped only 2 points in their last 4 games and has won their last 2 away fixtures at West Ham and Crystal Palace.

Liverpool have won their last 4 matches against Burnley including beating them 3-0 on the road earlier this season.

Liverpool 1/4

Draw 21/4

Burnley 10/1

Suggested Bet:  Both teams to score, YES, at 19/20

Burnley have scored in their last 3 visits to Anfield and while I think defeat is inevitable, I think they can find the back of the net.

EVERTON v SOUTHAMPTON – Click Here to bet

This is a mid-table clash with Everton currently sitting 11th, 1 point ahead of 13th placed Southampton.

Everton tasted their first defeat in 4 matches when they lost 1-0 away to Tottenham in their last start and their 2 home games since resuming play after the break have been a 2-1 win over Leicester and a goalless draw against Liverpool.

Southampton have been in some good form of late winning 3 of their last 4 matches including beating Watford 3-1 away and then stunning Manchester City 1-0 at home.

Everton beat Southampton 2-1 on the road earlier in the season and Southampton won this fixture 2-1 last season.

Everton 11/10

Draw 5/2

Southampton 51/20

Suggested Bet:  The draw at 5/2

These sides looked very evenly matched and both of them are in decent form and I do not expect there will be much between them.  For those looking to the goal markets the history between these sides suggests we should get 3 goals or more and that is trading at 17/20.

WEST HAM v BURNLEY – Click Here to bet

West Ham have started to distance themselves from the relegation scrap having beaten Chelsea 3-2 at home and drawn 2-2 away with Newcastle in their last 2 starts.  The Hammers home matches have been high scoring averaging 3.5 goals each with 10 of the 16 games delivering for over 2.5 goal backers.

Burnley have taken 7 points from the last 9 they have played for and they currently sit 10th on the table.  Their away games averaged 2.6 goals each with 9 of the 16 reaching 3 goals or more.

Burnley won the reverse fixture 3-0.

West Ham 21/20

Draw 12/5

Burnley 59/20

Suggested Bet:  West Ham win at 21/20

West Ham know they are just a couple of wins short of guaranteeing their safety and while Burnley won’t be an easy win, West Ham certainly have more to play for than the visitors.
